“My Universe” will be the 10th track on Coldplay’s upcoming, space-themed album, Music of the Spheres, which will drop on October 15th. BTS and Coldplay are both innovative, music icons, so there’s no doubt that their collaboration will be a roaring success. What, however, could this success mean?
BTS’s most recent singles, “Permission to Dance,” “Butter,” and “Dynamite” have all claimed the No.1 spot on Billboard‘s Hot 100 Chart, but it’s been over a decade since a Coldplay song reigned supreme on the chart.
If “My Universe” takes No.1, it will be Coldplay’s first No.1 on the Hot 100 in 13 years. The last Coldplay song to peak at No.1 was “Viva La Vida” in 2008.
Will “My Universe” take BTS and Coldplay to the top? We’ll have to wait and see!
