BTS Reveal Their Thoughts About Touring, And We Can’t Wait To See Them In Concert Again
It’s starting to feel like forever since we last have been able to see our favorite K-Pop groups in concert, and many of the idols feel the same way.
Many groups, particularly in the case of BTS, have found alternatives such as virtual concerts and live stream events such as Map Of The Soul ON:E and BangBangCon and, most recently, their anniversary event for FESTA 2021, Muster Sowoozoo. Despite the commendable efforts and undeniably entertaining events, there is just nothing quite like in-person concerts. Many fans and music artists are eagerly anticipating the day they can return.
From recent interviews and live broadcasts, it is clear that no one wants things to return to normal so we can meet again more than the members themselves. Recently, RM has made statements like “COVID, get the h*ll out.”
“COVID… Get the hell out!”

“stay, moving on, stay, moving on.
beginning things.. people change,
things change, everything changes..
after this pandemic shit, what will
we do? what did we get? we don’t
know, but one thing’s for sure…
we will… just move on.” #RM pic.twitter.com/FJxy6pIJ8E— RMPICS⁷ 🎈PTD (@RMPICS_twt) June 13, 2021
In BTS’s music video for their new song “Permission to Dance,” there seemed to be details and “Easter eggs” throughout that hinted at an upcoming world tour. At least, this is what ARMYs are hoping and praying for.
Now, in a new interview with Zach Sang, BTS have officially given a personal update on their plans regarding touring. Sang asked the members if they get excited when he mentions “live performance touring.”
Suga explained that, personally, it does not seem very likely to return to touring for some time, and it “sounds like a dream” when he imagines it.
We are in the situation where we can’t go on tour for more than a year and a half. So, it kind of sounds like a dream… Like ‘Have we really done this?’ It feels weird when I watch old video clips of fully packed stadiums, with fans not wearing masks.
— Suga
Sang then asked a follow-up question concerning concerts. He remained hopeful that we might see BTS on tour again in the future.
As you go into this next era and potentially one day do live performances again, like in front of people, a crowd, an arena, a stadium, what is your primary focus when you put together a live performance?
— Zach Sang
Jin replied, saying that he hopes that “Permission to Dance” will make everyone dance and “have fun with it,” whether or not they can dance together in person or not.
We made this song [“Permission to Dance”] with the vibe of ‘let’s all have fun together!’ So, [we] hope many people enjoy it, engage with the song and have fun with it. And [we] hope this song makes people dance and not just watch us performing on stage and, if the situation gets better, even dance together…
— Jin
J-Hope revealed that before the pandemic, they had actually been preparing for a performance. As a result, they are still anticipating showing fans in the future.
We actually prepared for a massive performance before the pandemic, but we didn’t get to perform, so we really want to show our fans…
— J-Hope
We hope that all of our tickets for BTS’s Map of the Soul World Tour will soon be freed after being held hostage for so long!
