BTS Continues It’s Record-Setting Accomplishment On Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart With “My Time”
BTS has long been dominating the Billboard international charts, each week placing (often multiple times) on both their World Albums and World Digital Song Sales charts.
They’re also not strangers to placing at number 1 on the digital song sales list — not by a long shot. In fact, they’ve held the record for having the most songs place at #1 for quite some time, and this last week extended their record by one more song!
“My Time” jumped from #15 to #1 between last week and this week, thanks to dedicated fans making the single’s sales jump up an incredible 733% with 3,000 new sales! ARMYs did this as an early birthday present for Jungkook, who will turn 23 on September 1. The album that the song is from, Map of the Soul: 7, has made its own series of accomplishments on Billboard, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart as well as spending a total of 19 weeks at #1 on the World Albums chart.
This latest accomplishment makes “My Time” BTS’s 22nd song to place at #1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart! This puts them far ahead of the artist in second place — BLACKPINK — who has a respectable 6 songs that have landed at #1 on the chart.
