Are BTS And Pharrell Williams Collaborating For Upcoming “Despicable Me 4” OST?
BTS will reportedly feature in a new Hollywood film!
Recently, a trailer was released for Universal Pictures and Illumination‘s Despicable Me 4, which releases on July 3, 2024. It stars Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Stephen Colbert, Steve Coogan, Sofía Vergara, Renaud, Madison Polan, Dana Gaier, Chloe Fineman, and Will Ferrell.
Following his escape from incarceration, Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina seek revenge on Gru and his family, including his newborn son, Gru Jr. Putting them into relocation for their protection, where they meet their new neighbors, the Prescotts and their daughter Poppy. In a way to even the odds, Gru and his minions ally with Poppy.

The text is in black, yellow, and purple hearts. Purple hearts are especially associated with BTS due to the V-coined term “Borahae” (I purple you).
The bottom of the poster reads, “Despicable Me 4 ⓒ 2024 Universal City Studios LLC. BTS ⓒ BIGHIT MUSIC & HYBE. All Rights Reserved.” So, it is an official advertisement for a new BTS collaboration for the film.
ARMYs were shocked to see the posters. They can’t believe we might be getting a new OT7 song next month, as 6/7 members are fulfilling their military service.

According to official sources, American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams, who wrote, produced, and performed his hit song “Happy” for Despicable Me 2, has returned for the new film.
So, it could be possible BTS collaborated with Williams. In 2022, BTS leader RM and Pharrell Williams were featured in Rolling Stone. During an interview together, they confirmed a collaboration. Read more below.
