BTS’s “DNA” MV Surpasses 1.1 Billion Views, Becoming Their First MV To Do So
BTS’s “DNA” music video has reached 1.1 billion views!
On October 5, “DNA” hit the 1.1 billion view mark on YouTube and became the first Korean boy group in history to reach this achievement.
This song is a part of their LOVE YOURSELF: Her album from 2017.
This music video was released on September 18, 2017, revealing that it only took three years and 16 days to reach over 1.1 billion views.
“DNA” was also the the first track by a Korean artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts. “DNA” continued to stay in the Hot 100 chart for 4 consecutive weeks with the album staying on the Billboard 200 for 6 consecutive weeks.
The only other Korean music videos to have reached over a billion views is PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU-DDU-DU.”
BTS will be holding an online concert titled Map of the Soul ON:E on October 10 and 11 and release a new album titled BE in November.
