BTS Just Broke Another Record With “Burn The Stage: The Movie”
By now, everyone knows that when it comes to breaking records, BTS are kings! While they’ve broken records in everything from music video views to going gold, BTS has just smashed one more record and come out on top!
With almost a million ticket sales a week prior to the release of BTS’s first feature film “Burn the Stage: The Movie” it should have been a huge clue as to how well the documentary would do at the box office.
But it didn’t just do well, it did great! Over the three day weekend, the movie has grossed $2.3 million dollars in the U.S. alone and made an additional $1.2 million on Thursday.
In just four days the movie has made an outstanding $3.54 million dollars!
The movie didn’t stop there though. Globally the movie pulled in $7.6 million over the weekend and made a staggering $9.3 million outside the U.S.
If that wasn’t already impressive enough, it’s also quickly become the highest grossing concert film of all time. The previous record was held by One Direction for their “One Direction: Where We Are – The Concert Film” movie back in 2014. When it was released it recorded a net of $4.8 million.
Their success has created even more of a buzz online as part of the footage has already aired through BTS’s original YouTube Red series by the same name!
A big congratulations to BTS for dominating yet another record!
