ARMY Pranked An Unsuspecting Host With BTS’s Fanchant
A BTS fan pulled the prank of the year, and it’s all in the name of philanthropy!
On September 23, BTS virtually attended the Korean American Community Foundation’s Annual Gala. KACF’s goal is to raise funds for organizations that serve “under-resourced Korean American individuals and families, while also mobilizing Korean Americans to embrace a culture of giving”.
“We hope today’s meaningful event will lead to a fruitful result,” V said during BTS’s video message. ARMY contributed to the cause, but not in the way he might have expected.
One generous and hilarious fan donated $300 on behalf of BTS. Instead of naming the donor as “BTS”, the fan wrote each member’s name. As a result, the KACF representative in charge of announcing the donations was tricked into reciting the BTS fan chant — live!
The host struggled to pronounce the members’ names, but by the time he reached the end, he was all smiles.
The moral of this story? Use the power of prank for good!
