BTS’s J-Hope Reunited With Becky G, Who May Have Hinted At A Surprise Appearance At Their Concert
It’s been over two years since BTS‘s J-Hope and Becky G teamed up for a record-breaking homage to Bianca Bonnie‘s hit “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and their friendship is still going strong!
On November 21, 2021, both BTS and Becky G attended the 49th annual American Music Awards (AMAs). They both took home wins that night: BTS won numerous awards including “Artist of the Year,” and Becky G was awarded “Favorite Female Artist — Latin” for the second year in a row!
Becky G revealed that she and BTS had some time to catch up when they arrived at the AMAs and even teased a surprise appearance at BTS’s upcoming offline concerts in LA. As someone very proud of being from Inglewood, the same city where SoFi Stadium (BTS’s tour venue) is located, it would make total sense to have her there!
Becky G: BTS is here! The homies, I love them. We literally got here at the same time so we were catching up ’cause I hadn’t seen them in so long.
Interviewer: What did you guys talk about?
Becky G: I mean, the fact that it’s been so long, literally! And they have a show in LA coming up, so I’m trying to see if I can, you know, make a little… situation happen! But yeah, no, I’m so happy.

Though their initial catching-up happened off-camera, they had some wholesome interactions that fans got to see! The two hugged while passing each other on the AMAs red carpet before the awards ceremony.

A fan in the AMAs audience caught this moment when J-Hope and Becky G greeted each other in the artists’ seating section. The two pointed at each other when they made eye contact, and Becky G blew J-Hope a kiss!

And at another time during the event, Becky G went over to speak with J-Hope. The two had all the fans in the crowd cheering when they hugged! She also spoke with Suga for a bit before giving J-Hope a high five and heading back to her seat.

The two first met in May 2019 when BTS and Becky G attended the Billboard Music Awards. That same year, after a series of mysterious tweets and J-Hope taking a surprise solo trip to the United States, J-Hope and Becky G released “Chicken Noodle Soup!”

Unfortunately, fans weren’t able to see the two artists work together after that, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic put an indefinite pause on international travel.
