BTS J-Hope Is Now Being Called The “Pride of Gwangju”
BTS‘s J-Hope has been labeled the “Pride of Gwangju” by a local Gwanju newspaper, Mudeung Daily.
The member got the whole back page of the newspaper dedicated to him with the headline reading,
The Pride of Gwangju: BTS J-HOPE
The newspaper highlights his achievements, including the release of his solo mixtape “Hope World”, released last March 1, 2018. They talk about how his mixtape debuted at number 63 on the Billboard‘s charts and peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200. The mixtape also charted #1 in 79 countries.
They also highlight his position in BTS as the group’s rapper and main dancer. They also mention how he is a composer, songwriter, and producer.
The paper also mentions how he has 85 songs under the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
BTS as a group was also mentioned on the front page of the paper. The headline says,
BTS In Gwangu, Getting World Attention
The front page highlights their achievements as a group, including cultural merits and winning in Top Social Artist in the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) two times (when the paper was printed).
