BTS’s J-Hope Gets A Promotion In The Military — Following Jin’s Footsteps
BTS‘s J-Hope has a new position in the military after going through an evaluation process.
On April 18, J-Hope enlisted in the 36th Infantry Division recruit training center in Wonju and underwent a five-week training program. All of BTS’s members showed up to accompany him on the day of his enlistment.
On May 31, an exclusive report from Newsis stated that J-Hope was selected to be an assistant drill instructor. A military official made a statement confirming his new role.
It is true that J-Hope has been selected to be an assistant drill instructor for the recruit training center after going through the evaluation process… If he passes the certification evaluation within a certain period, he will perform his duties as the assistant instructor.

J-Hope is the second member of BTS to take on this role—it was reported previously that Jin, who enlisted in the military four months before J-Hope, was also selected to be an assistant drill instructor in the 5th Infantry Division.
J-Hope will remain as an assistant instructor in the 36th Infantry Division recruit training center until his discharge on October 17 of next year.
