During BTS‘s second “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE” in Las Vegas concert, the members wrapped up the concert with their own heartfelt speeches, where J-Hope made a clever reference to one of ARMY’s sentimental phrases.
Right after performing the wave with their ARMY bombs, J-Hope was the first to give his ending ment. He revealed the wave made him feel like he was on the ocean…
…which means that ARMYs had brought an ocean to the desert of Las Vegas!
For BTS, the sentimental phrase “If we’re together, even the desert becomes the sea” has appeared time and time again.
Originally appearing in BTS’s emotional hidden track “Sea” that discusses their hardships, the lyric was revived again by fans in a slogan event for the Wings Tour Finale Concert in Seoul.
With the desert representing despair and sadness and the ocean representing success and happiness, BTS walked through the desert with ARMYs to eventually reach what they once thought was only a mirage. In this way, ARMYs both literally and figuratively turned the desert into an ocean!
J-Hope was also taken aback by the amazing diverse audience of ARMYs from all over the world who came to see BTS in Las Vegas…
…which makes him even more excited to eventually perform in cities around the world.
It seems he may be hinting at a world tour, but ARMYs will just have to wait and find out!
