Sentenced VS Served: The Real Time “Burning Sun” Criminals Spent In Prison

Most have been released from prison.

On May 19, the BBC World Service’s investigative team, BBC Eye, released a powerful new documentary titled Burning Sun, revealing how two female Korean journalists exposed sex scandals involving prominent K-Pop stars.

This has brought to light the crimes of the stars involved, especially since nearly all those sentenced to prison have since been released.

Shockingly, many had their sentences significantly reduced, as listed below.

1. Kwon Hyuk Jun (Kwon Yeon Oh)

Brother of Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri, Kwon Hyuk Jun, was accused of gang rape and the filming and distribution of sex videos. In the documentary, it was revealed that he had raped a woman during the ski trip discussed by the reporters.
