BTS’s Jimin and Ha Sung Woon Break A New Record With Their “Our Blues” OST By Beating… BTS
A day doesn’t seem to go by without BTS breaking some kind of record with their music. Yet, the group is at such a high standard and holds so many records that they are their standard-bearers.
That was the case again recently after BTS’s Jimin and best friend Ha Sung Woon released their OST “With You” for the K-Drama “Our Blues.”
On April 24, netizens worldwide couldn’t hide their excitement when the OST “With You” was finally released. As revealed by Ha Sung Woon, the OST was definitely emotional AF, and the music video perfectly portrayed the feelings.
As expected, when the OST dropped, netizens shared their love for the song on social media. Considering how excited ARMYs were and the amount of love shared for the song, it isn’t surprising that the track was breaking records from its release.
In particular, one of the biggest achievements was that it became the fastest song in history to reach #1 on iTunes in 100 countries, which is a considerable achievement.
Yet, if that wasn’t epic enough, who was the artist Jimin and Ha Sung Woon managed to beat? It was none other than BTS itself and their 2020 track “Dynamite.”

When “Dynamite” was released, it achieved this fantastic accomplishment within eight hours. Yet, it only took less than five hours for “With You” to accomplish the same goal.
Of course, it is fantastic to achieve this success, but the fact that Jimin and Ha Sung Woon beat BTS… proves just how iconic they are. As expected, ARMYs couldn’t hide their excitement and humor after seeing what had happened. In particular, many pointed out that it was BTS v BTS.

Others pointed out that BTS’s talent and popularity have meant that their biggest competition is always themselves.
Everytime new music drops, whenever it's solo project or a group's, the records would always be BTS vs BTS. BTS only has themselves as their competition, nobody stands a chance.

Many even pointed out that this desire to always be better than themselves is something the members have always thrived on. In particular, Suga mentioned in his lyrics for “Dionysus,” where it says, “The new record is the fight against oneself.”
It seems like BTS continues to prove why they are so iconic. A day doesn’t go by without the group cementing their dominance in the charts. It is always inevitable that they will beat themselves for a record, especially when they already hold so many.
