ARMYs Spot BTS References In Everyone’s 2022 Spotify Wrapped
Spotify is ARMY!
The anticipated 2022 Spotify Wrapped has finally been released! It allows users of the music streaming platform to reflect on their music preferences for the past year.
Spotify Wrapped is a viral marketing campaign by Spotify. Released annually in early December since 2016, the campaign allows Spotify users to view a compilation of data about their activity on the platform over the past year and invites them to share it on social media.

As always, BTS was one of the most streamed artists on Spotify.

During the 2022 Spotify Wrapped video, it lists the various genres of music you listened to throughout the year. At the start, it reads, “Look at you, you little astronaut,” in front of a sky of stars.
When ARMYs read that, it immediately made them think of Jin. He released his solo single “The Astronaut” on October 28.

Some even thought that Spotify was calling them out for streaming “The Astronaut” so much with that message.

However, not only ARMY but every netizen got the message, so it was not exclusive to us Jin-biased ARMYs. Still, we can’t help but wonder if someone at Spotify is an ARMY too…
they pointed at army and laughed

Not only does “Look at you, you little astronaut” feel like a reference to Jin, but the entire aesthetic of this segment of the 2022 Spotify Wrapped puts one in mind of BTS. It looks an awful lot like the imagery used for “Permission to Dance.”
It is just me or those lil planets shapes remind me of the little drawings/patterns of Permission to dance? Also for the colors

Either way, Spotify sure got us in our feels!

We even got a personal message from Jin on Spotify. He thanked listeners, and of course, he was wearing his “The Astronaut” merch!

Even J-Hope wore his “The Astronaut” hoodie in his artist message for Spotify!
