BTS’s Jin Drops Hints About A Mysterious Celebrity — Here’s Who It Might Be
Today, Jin gave ARMY the best present: himself! Shortly after BTS‘s exclusive Zoom party, Jin began a live broadcast that all fans could tune in to.
Here, Jin chatted about his recent activities, shared a behind-the-scenes story from Run BTS!, and woke up Bang Si Hyuk to wish him a Happy Birthday. Jin also dropped a spoiler about an unnamed, foreign celebrity.
The celebrity in question is someone Jin has admired since he was young. He told fans that there is “good news” to look forward to about this celebrity that might have already been leaked. Who could the mystery celeb be?
Some fans believe it could be Coldplay, a British rock band that BTS is rumored to be collaborating with behind the scenes. Earlier this year, BTS performed a cover of Coldplay’s song “Fix You” on MTV Unplugged.
Another possibility is American singer Jennifer Lopez. She has recently shown lots of love for a mashup of BTS’s “Permission to Dance” and her song with Rauw Alejandro, “Cambia el Paso.”

How about Sir Elton John? BTS gave this legendary English singer-songwriter a shoutout in the lyrics for “Permission to Dance.” Last week, Elton John expressed his love for the song in this Twitter video.

Suffice it say, Jin could be referring to several artists, but Coldplay seems to be the most likely candidate. Jin told fans that V took a photo of him with the celebrity when they met in person. Earlier this year, Coldplay’s Chris Martin traveled to South Korea, sparking rumors about a collaboration.
