BTS Jin Cult Is Taking Over TikTok, But J-Hope Is Making An Appearance
BTS‘s Jin might currently be enlisted in the military, but his “cult” is getting stronger than ever.
Jin’s extra fans are known not only as ARMYs, but they’re also self-named “Seokjinnies” or “Jin cult.”
Previously, they made the news during BTS’s final Love Yourself: Speak Yourself concerts in Seoul.

In 2018, Jin himself joined the cult for his birthday. As ARMYs all changed their profile pictures to the iconic photo of him, he did so, too, via BTS’s shared Twitter account.
Now, five years later, the “Jin cult” is making a comeback. This time, it’s on TikTok.
@olive_zy We were always here, just waiting for the right moment #jincult #bts
TikTok users were shocked (and confused) when they realized that a photo of Jin was taking over TikTok. ARMYs were all changing their profile picture to a specific photo of Jin and encouraging others to do it too.
@mochi_jae Is it too late to join the Jin Cult? Honestly miss Jin already #jincult #kimseokjin #jin #seokjin #seokjinnie #bts_official_bighit #btsxarmy #kpop #kpopfyp #bangtan #bangtanboys #worldwidehandsome #btsjin #jinbts #김석진 #방탄소년단 #parkjimin #jeonjungkook #btsarmy #bangtansonyeondan방탄소년단
The photo in question? The meme below of Jin from Bon Voyage 2.
Some netizens have been confused as to the reason the new trend started. Who created it and why? Are we simply bored? Do we miss Jin too much?

However, now when you scroll through TikTok, you might notice not only Jin’s face but another BTS member: J-Hope. He has begun to emerge amongst the “Jin cult.”
ARMYs were encouraging each other to change their profile picture to J-Hope for at least a day or even include his photo next to Jin’s in honor of J-Hope’s 29th birthday.

@iampoyzen Spread it like wildfire! 🥰💜 #jincult #hobicult #bts #btsarmy #btsarmyforever #btsarmy💜
The only issue is that one meme of J-Hope has not been agreed upon. Some had chosen an edit of J-Hope in front of a burning building, while others had used a meme of him from when BTS performed “Butter” on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Still, you’ll see mainly photos of the latter amongst the “Jin cult” now in the comment section on BTS videos on TikTok.
This isn’t the first time that the “Jin cult” has “randomly” taken over social media. Previously, they created memes and edits, including Jin’s face plastered everywhere.
