BTS’s Jin Opens Up About The Differences Of Solo Stardom And Being A Group Member
BTS‘s Jin is busy preparing for his solo comeback with the album HAPPY and pre-release single “I’ll Be There,” following the success of the extended version of the hit single “Super Tuna.”
Now, Jin is the cover star of Vogue Japan‘s December issue to celebrate the magazine’s 25th anniversary.
Jin did not just a photoshoot but an interview with the magazine, reflecting on his life and career. The interviewer asked, “Is there a difference in your mindset when you’re performing and songwriting as part of BTS and when you’re solo?”
Jin explained that he enjoys the freedom of working as a solo artist because he is doing everything himself and makes a lot of creative choices. Yet, he feels a lot of pressure, so he feels more relaxed when he works with the members.
When I work solo I have to do everything by myself. So I have a lot of freedom and can do what I want, but at the same time I also feel a sense of pressure. In the group, even if I’m lacking in some areas I’m reassured because the members are there with me, so I’m more relaxed.
