BTS’s Jin Showcases His Bromance With “Marry My Husband” Actor Lee Yi Kyung

They’ve known each other since pre-debut!

While the other six members of BTS are fulfilling their mandatory military service, Jin is hosting his spin-off of their hit variety show Run BTS!, appropriately titled Run Jin. In Episode 6, Jin showed off his amateur tennis skills.

Jin was surprisingly joined by his longtime friend, Lee Yi Kyung, a well-known actor known for Marry My Husband and Welcome to Waikiki. The two met over a decade ago while Jin was still a student while taking a neighborhood acting class.

Since both are known as “tennis kids,” amateurs at the sport, they competed against actual tennis kids. Despite the age difference, the men let their competitive nature get the best of them, and whenever they got a point, they embraced excitedly.

When the other team’s ball hit the net, Jin jumped into Lee Yi Kyung’s arms, wrapping his legs around the actor’s waist. Somehow, the two managed to maintain this position without either one’s arms holding onto the other, as they used them to celebrate instead.

The clip garnered attention on X (formerly Twitter), as ARMYs were amused not only by their unexpected bromance but also by the men’s strength. It went viral with hundreds of thousands of views.

ARMYs joked that Jin and Lee Yi Kyung “matched each other’s freak.” Jin being so affectionate with someone shows that he and Lee Yi Kyung are really close!
