BTS’s Jin Reaches New Milestones On YouTube With His Solo Song “Abyss”
BTS has pretty much become synonymous with breaking records. However, not only as a group but as solo artists do they manage to break records. Recently, V‘s “Sweet Night” achieved No. 1’s in 87 countries on iTunes, breaking PSY’s eight-year record of 86 No. 1’s.
Now, one of BTS’s other vocalists, Jin is making history in his own right. Last year for his birthday, he released his self-composed and written song “Abyss” that reflected his feelings of burnout. Now, the deeply personal song has reached a couple of milestones on YouTube in less than a year after its release!
On July 9, Jin has become the first Korean soloist to reach 3 million likes on an audio with “Abyss.” Additionally, he also has the most commented-on YouTube Audio, not just among Korean artists but also globally, as it surpassed 559,000 comments. Previously, “Jocelyn Flores” by XXXTENTACION held the spot. It’s actually the only audio released by BTS to enter the Top 200 of the most-commented YouTube videos in history. Several of their music videos, however, are in the top 10, of course.
Knowing the meaning of the song and the original impromptu release, ARMYs can’t help but be impressed and proud of Jin’s achievement. Many are congratulating Jin on Twitter, trending #BTSJin and #방탄소년단진.
