Billboard Deletes Tweet About BTS’s Jungkook After Receiving Backlash From ARMYs — Posts New One After Seeing The Criticism

Many thought it was disrespectful to Jungkook!

BTS‘s Jungkook is breaking records with his solo career, but a now-deleted tweet from Billboard caused outrage, leading to a new post being done.

Over the past few months, Jungkook has impressed netizens with his solo tracks and is set to release his album Golden.

In particular, attention has been paid to his debut solo single, “Seven,” with Latto.

On October 31, Billboard shared a tweet about Jungkook breaking a “streaming record” with a billion streams faster than anyone else. In particular, it pointed out that it was done because of his collaboration track “Seven” with Latto.

When the tweet was posted, after the backlash it seemingly received, the post was deleted and replaced with one focusing on Jungkook’s achievement, without mentioning Latto or the track.

After the new tweet was shared, ARMYs shared their reactions to the post now focusing on Jungkook, sharing that the account should respect the idol from the start rather than needing to delete a post because of backlash.

Yet, while ARMYs were glad of the change, some netizens weren’t happy with either tweet. In particular, while BTS fans thought the first tweet disrespected Jungkook, many thought the new one disregarded and disrespected Latto. For many, they acknowledged that both tweets were unprofessional.

With such a huge fanbase, Billboard has often come under fire for “disrespecting” Jungkook.
