BTS Jungkook’s Career Is Compared To A K-Drama, With A Shocking Amount Of Success Despite His Age

BTS‘s Jungkook first debuted when he was only 16 years old. Over the years, ARMYs have watched him grow and accomplish things most adults could only dream about in their lives. Over the past nine years, Jungkook has grown and achieved so much.

Recently, Korean netizens had a look back at Jungkook’s career, believing that his life resembles a K-Drama.

In the forum, ARMYs started looking at Jungkook’s career from the age of 19 years old. One of the first big achievements the OP saw was that in 2016, BTS won their first daesang (grand prize) when they got earned the “Album of the Year” at the Melon Music Awards for The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.

At the age of 20 years old, Jungkook was already living the dream as BTS’s popularity continued to rise. Alongside winning their first Billboard award for “Top Social Artist,” the group made history tonight as the first Korean boy band to perform at American Music Awards with “DNA.”

In 2018, at the age of 21, BTS received the National Medal of Culture to honor their efforts at spreading South Korean culture and language throughout the world. Yet, what made it even more significant was the fact that the members were the youngest recipients in history.

At 22 years old, Jungkook and the rest of the group continued their successful Love Yourself World Tour, performing in some of the biggest stadiums in the world. In particular, BTS became the first Korean act to headline an American stadium, followed by some of the biggest stadiums in the world, including the UK’s Wembley Stadium.

If that wasn’t enough, at the start of 2020 at the age of 22 years old, Jungkook and the rest of BTS performed at the GRAMMYs for the first time, stealing the heart of fans with their collaboration for Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” performance.

With all their hard work, the group got their first #1 on Billboard Hot 100 with their collaboration with Jason Derulo for “Savage Love” and their first GRAMMYs nomination for “Best Pop duo/group performance” with “Dynamite.”

At the age of 24, Jungkook also achieved so much with BTS! Even with the pandemic, Jungkook performed in front of fans during their PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE shows in America, won huge awards at the American Music Awards, and made headlines with their nomination and performance at the GRAMMYs.

Jungkook also had one of the most successful years possible. Throughout the year, Jungkook has made the year count after a collaboration with Charlie Puth, graduating from university, and the abundance of projects with BTS, including another trip to the White House to speak with President Joe Biden.

Finally, after turning 25, Jungkook continues to make his mark. After a historical performance in Busan, Jungkook is making history after it was announced that he would be performing at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

At only 25 years old, BTS’s Jungkook has truly made the most of all his opportunities and worked hard to get to where he is. With nearly ten years in BTS, the group won’t be slowing down any time soon, and the idol will surely continue to live a life only K-Dramas could portray.
