BTS’s Jungkook Celebrates His Birthday By Gifting ARMY An Original Song, Composed Live
BTS‘s Jungkook spent the hour before the clock struck midnight on his birthday composing a song for fans!
Using comments from ARMY on Weverse, Jungkook created an original song right on the spot. Not only did he flex his composing skills, but also his language skills; the lyrics were mostly in English!
After looking through a few comments, he found some that really spoke to him. The fan-written lyrics were incredible, and Jungkook knew just how to turn them into the most beautiful gift for ARMY!

While creating the melody, Jungkook said he likes when it “falls into a minor,” referring to the chord progression of the song. He’s so thoughtful about writing songs!
Jungkook showed ARMY how the autotune works while recording the vocal parts for the song. Though he definitely didn’t need it, it showed how seriously Jungkook was taking the song and how he wanted it to be just right.
He even stacked harmonies over his main vocals and added extra adlibs in the background to make it feel more full! Being able to not only create a melody but harmonize with it is a huge talent.
He’d get so into recording that more than once, he went out of frame! Jungkook was totally immersed in his art and it was so inspiring to see.
Though Jungkook was super focused on composing the song, he didn’t forget about ARMY and constantly explained his creative process to the fans watching!
Jungkook went through some other instrumentals on his computer to play around with different melodies. He even tried rapping!
In the end, Jungkook created a heartwarming song that’s unique to him and ARMY. Even though it’s his birthday, we received such an amazing gift! What a beautiful way to spend the last couple hours of his 23rd year.
