On December 26, The China Year End Awards announced its winners, and K-Pop artists bagged some of the major wins. Jungkook was the most nominated artist, with a total of 19 nominations as a soloist.

After the winner announcement, Jungkook became the most awarded artist of the event. His single “Seven ft Latto” won in the categories of Best-Selling Male K-Pop Single, Best-Selling Western Single, Best-Selling Collaboration Single, and Best-Selling Male Solo K-Pop Single. Jungkook’s debut solo album, Golden, also won the Best-Selling Solo K-Pop Album award.

With a total of five wins in the very first year of his solo nomination, Jungkook has become the fifth most-awarded artist in the history of the China Year End Awards, tying with Justin Bieber.

Given that he launched his solo career only this July and had no activity in China, this historic win is a great testament to Jungkook’s rising popularity across the globe.
