If you’re struggling to learn a new language, Jungkook‘s progress might inspire you to keep going!
Today, Jungkook kicked off his birthday celebrations by inviting fans to write him lyrics, selling out a hoodie, and holding a live broadcast. Here, Jungkook composed a new English song on the spot, using ARMY’s Weverse messages to him.

This work in progress is touching the hearts of fans around the world as the songwriting process unfolds before their eyes. (Aren’t we supposed to give gifts to Jungkook on his birthday, not the other way around?)
for every day i miss you
for every hour i need you
for every minute i feel you
for every second i want yousuddenly in the distance
shining like a purple light
you turn around & you smile so bright
reaching out, you take my hand
from then, i know everything will be alright.— ً (@glosstannies) August 31, 2021
At the beginning of the broadcast, Jungkook also read English comments aloud, wowing fans with his ever-improving pronunciation and comprehension of the language.

He certainly has come a long way from his early English lessons with RM! Let’s relive this moment for old time’s sake:
