BTS’s Jungkook Is Credited With Boosting The Popularity Of “Physical: 100” — But It Hasn’t Been All Positive For The Idol’s Broadcast
The incredible influence of BTS over the years has grown by huge amounts, and it means that anything the members do, own, or watch becomes more popular.
Recently, BTS’s Jungkook gained attention and thanks after his recent live broadcast saw a Netflix show’s popularity surge even more.
On February 3, Jungkook continued to send ARMYs into meltdown as he did his second live broadcast of the week with his dog Bam.
Along with his chicken mukbang, Jungkook gained attention after he basically spent the entire live broadcast with ARMYs like a friend, having some food and watching one of the hottest Korean shows right now, Physical: 100.
The show has gained attention worldwide as one hundred contestants in top physical shape all compete in challenges in the hopes of claiming honor and money as the last one standing.
During Jungkook’s broadcast, the idol was watching the Netflix show and had some of the most relatable and iconic reactions to the contestants and their incredible strength.
When the broadcast had ended, and in the days following the broadcast, ARMYs noticed that the number of viewers and popularity of Physical:100 had risen.
On Netflix, the show seemed to climb up the “Top 10” charts in various countries, and it couldn’t just be a coincidence that it happened after Jungkook’s live broadcast.

After the broadcast, many members of of the cast, including the infamous Agent H followed Jungkook and posted about the live broadcast, adding, “Wow, it’s an honor.”
Choo Sung-hoon, who is already a favorite of ARMYs after he had a sparring session with Jungkook, also shared his reaction.
Yet, it seems like it isn’t just the contestants who noticed the influence Jungkook had.
On February 7, the PD of Physical 100 Jang Ho Ki appeared at a press conference for the show and spoke about Jungkook’s recent broadcast and couldn’t stop thanking the idol.
I felt like I shouldn’t brag but I heard that when BTS’s Jungkook streamed himself watching the show, just the number of viewers were a hundred thousand. I want to tell him thank you.

Yet, while the ratings of the show soared and even the PD didn’t have enough praise and thanks to the idol, Physical 100 was also seemingly the reason the live broadcast was unavailable on Weverse.
When the broadcast finished, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that the majority of the video (after Jungkook collected his chicken) wasn’t available to watch.
Although it seemed confusing at first, many ARMYs pointed out that it was probably taken down due to Netflix copyright issues.
Considering the show’s influence and rising number of viewers, many ARMYs shared their confusion about the issue and that the broadcast would only benefit the show and shouldn’t have been taken down.

If Disney can give copyright permission to BTS members saying “If it’s BTS, they can use it all”
then I’m sure Netflix, who is losing subscribers rapidly due to ridiculous policies, can do the same for Jungkook, who gave free promotion.— Mu⁷❤️🔥 (@130613fate) February 3, 2023

Hopefully, after the producer thanked Jungkook, there might be a way to get the live broadcast back, as it would probably maintain a surge of ratings for Physical: 100.
