BTS’s Jungkook Recounts The Time He Got Injured Before The Group’s Concert In London
Following their performances of “Dynamite,” “Permission To Dance,” and “I’ll Be Missing You” by Puff Daddy, Faith Evans, and Sting, BTS‘s interview with BBC Radio 1 was released.
The interview opened with the group remembering the first time they visited London in 2018. BTS held their Love Yourself World Tour from October 9–10 in the O2 Arena.
The first time we went to London was for our O2 Arena concert.

Besides meeting their fans and visiting the famous city, one of the most memorable parts about the trip was Jungkook’s injury.
I remember Jungkook got injured, right?
— Jin
At the time, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that Jungkook would perform while seated after sustaining an injury during their concert preparations.
About two hours ago, Jungkook finished his rehearsal and sound check and was lightly stretching in the waiting room when he collided his heel with a furniture and suffered a large rip injury.

Jin vividly remembered the injury because it was an uncommon occurrence in the group’s history.
It’s a very memorable city for us. We rarely get hurt while on tour.

Though it was a painful time for Jungkook, he can now look back on it and laugh.
It wasn’t during a show or anything. I was just warming up.
— Jungkook
Jin reminded the maknae about his tearful words back then, “You cried while saying you were very determined to come back and show a better performance next time.”
Jungkook definitely showed up stronger than ever in their following concerts!
