BTS’s Jungkook Turned Down The Super Bowl Offer Due To Military Service
After BTS’s Jungkook announced news of his remix version of “Standing Next To You” last year, many fans hoped for a collab with Usher.
Soon after, they revealed that Usher would be featured in the remix!
After the new version of the song was confirmed, fans were dying to see the two artists perform the song at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Most recently, online community posts garnered much attention after fans found out that Jungkook had received an invitation to perform at the show!

According to New Yorker Magazine, it was reported that Usher invited Jungkook to perform the remix version at the Super Bowl, but he had to turn down the offer due to mandatory military service.

With this, Korean netizens felt it was a shame as it was such a good opportunity for him.
- “As a Jungkook stan, I’m honestly so sad that he enlisted in the military early. He was at a career-high and he could’ve done so much more…but they enlisted together and had another member get caught up in a controversy…I know he’s going to release solo music after discharge and do well so I’m not worried..but still.”
