BTS’s Jungkook Is Already Kicking COVID-19’s Butt, Proving He Truly Is The “Super Antibody”
BTS‘s maknae Jungkook recently tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada.
BIGHIT MUSIC updated ARMYs on his condition in an English statement on Weverse.
Hello this is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to provide you with some information on BTS member Jung Kook being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Jung Kook was tested negative on a PCR test in Korea, and he departed for the United States on Sunday, March 27 (KST) in preparation for the Grammy Awards performance.
After arriving in Las Vegas, he felt a slight discomfort in his throat and promptly took a rapid PCR test (COVID-19 molecular PCR test) and a standard PCR test (COVID-19 quantitative PCR test) on the afternoon of Sunday, March 27 (PT).
While being under self-quarantine as a proactive measure, the result of both tests came back positive, and Jung Kook was confirmed with COVID-19 on Monday, March 28 (PT).
Jung Kook has been currently under self-quarantine and treatment, following the guidelines of health authorities in the United States. He is not exhibiting any symptoms other than a mild sore throat, and we will attentively monitor his health during the quarantine.
Jung Kook’s participation in the later schedule in the United States will be determined by the local regulations on COVID-19, while we are actively in discussion with the awards organizer.
We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to our fans for causing you concern despite our effort to take all necessary measures for our artists’ health prior to and throughout the schedule in the United States. We ask for your generous understanding and support from all our fans.
We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Jung Kook, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities. Thank you.

Despite BIGHIT MUSIC’s attempt at reassuring fans that Jungkook was only experiencing mild symptoms, ARMYs were naturally concerned for Jungkook as he’s the last member to be diagnosed with COVID-19. He also has an upcoming busy schedule. Both the 2022 GRAMMYs and PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE are days away, but his health comes first.

Being the thoughtful and considerate man he is, Jungkook quickly posted a personal update of his own outside of BIGHIT MUSIC’s to reassure ARMY. He posted a video on Instagram Stories, so ARMYs could hear his voice explain, “I’m okay. It’s nothing much.”

Now, Jungkook has posted another update for ARMYs, proving he is truly feeling just fine! He not only told them again that he’s fine and will meet soon, but he even jammed out to “Winter blossom” by Dept(뎁트), Ashley Alisha, and nobody likes you pat for a bit, explaining that he needs to move even in quarantine so he won’t gain any weight despite being confined to a room!
Everyone, I’m doing well. I’m taking care of myself well so don’t worry too much! Let’s meet soon. Leggo!

Although he was dancing to “Winter blossom,” he referenced Rain‘s song, “Gang,” by using lyrics. Jungkook appears to have brought his self-designed Mikrokosmos mood lamp!

On the other hand, V was just impressed that Jungkook could move at all! Having experienced COVID himself, he knows how difficult it can be.
Jungkook: The bright lights surround me
V: Look at those dance moves. COVID has lost to Jungkook. I couldn’t even move when I had COVID.
For the longest time, Jungkook was one of the few members who had not contracted COVID-19. In a recent live broadcast, he said that he and his family members had never gotten COVID-19, so he believed he was a “Super Antibody.”
I think I am the Super Antibody. …There are some people who don’t get the disease…I think I am the super antibody considering that I haven’t been confirmed yet.
— Jungkook
Still, it seems like Jungkook truly must be the “Super Antibody.”
