For years, the BTS members have shared all their social media accounts, including Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Finally, in December 2021, each member created an individual Instagram account.

Jungkook’s Instagram account went through a couple of changes. His handle was originally the unique  @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz before changing it to @jungkook.97.

Jungkook also deleted several pictures and ultimately deleted his entire Instagram account. He told ARMYs via Weverse he deleted the app too.

Weverse

I deleted Instagram. I didn’t get hacked! : )
I didn’t really end up using it, so I deleted it… Don’t worry!!!

Weverse

I deleted the app right away. And I don’t think I’m going to use it ever again. Just letting you all know! Heh

Since Jungkook deleted Instagram, he has continued to use Weverse as his main form of communication. He especially likes to host spontaneous live broadcasts.

Yet, some thought Jungkook might have created his own TikTok account, too, just in time for his solo debut promotions. Over the weekend, he released “Seven (feat. Latto).”

Three days ago, user @jung.kookieofficial began posting videos on the video-sharing app TikTok under the name Jung Kook. Uploads included Jungkook’s “Seven” dance practice, TikTok dance challenge, etc.

When videos began appearing on ARMYs’ FYPs (For You Pages), they were curious if it was really Jungkook himself…

Many ARMYs were skeptical when they saw the account. They especially couldn’t believe Jungkook would choose the handle @jung.kookieofficial, remembering his previous Instagram handles.

Yet, the account was verified. Was it really Jungkook?

Still, there were many reasons to be suspicious. Firstly, the official BTS account was not following it, nor was it following BTS. It’s also not that difficult to obtain a verification symbol.

Speaking of the BTS account, the videos posted on the Jungkook account were not original. They were taken from other accounts like BTS’s TikTok or YouTube.

If that was not enough, the verified symbol has now disappeared. So, there is no more reason to believe the account is really Jungkook’s.

All of the account’s videos did go viral, though, obtaining millions of views. It gained 1.2M followers at the time of writing.

Jungkook now has a TikTok account that he accidentally exposed via Weverse. Read more below.
