BTS’s “Permission To Dance” Gets Mentioned In Political Discussion Between The U.S. And South Korea

Even important politicians have heard of it!

BTS‘s “Permission To Dance” has transcended the music industry and is now even being mentioned in politics!

It all started when South Korea’s president, Moon Jae In, met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman at Cheong Wa Dae on Thursday.

President Moon Jae In requested that Sherman play a proactive role in the resumption of talks between Washington and Pyongyan.

Referencing BTS’s “Permission To Dance,” Sherman replied that South Korea and the U.S. are allies and have worked together for a long time, so they do not need to give “permission” to each other.

It’s mind-blowing that even foreign politicians have heard of the song! Who knew a discussion about a proposed dialogue with North Korea would include BTS in it?
