BTS’s RM Brushes Off “2022 GRAMMYs” Snub With Message For Haters
Though BTS delivered an amazing performance at The 2022 GRAMMYs, also called The 64th GRAMMY Awards, it left fans feeling like the group had been snubbed once again by not finally receiving a grammy. Suga wasn’t the only member to throw shade about it. RM recently spoke about the matter during their PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concert in Las Vegas, Nevada.
When it was time for leader RM to make a speech, he didn’t shy away from all the talk surrounding the group and The 2022 GRAMMYs. Wearing a smile of pure confidence, he immediately brushed off the snub.
Guys, I know there’s a lot of noises out there about the GRAMMYs and the team itself. But, you know… Why give a sh*t about it?
— RM
He reassured upset fans that the decision-makers behind the GRAMMYs were entitled to do whatever they chose. RM was unbothered by how it all turned out, giving an example of how he would’ve spent his time instead.
Hating is their freedom. And they have their right to hate. But if it was me, I’d rather just talk with my friends in some cafe and forget about it.
— RM
RM then finished talking about the matter by saying, “But rather than tweet about it or some interview, I won’t do that cause I’m grown up.”
Earning applause and shouts from fans, he emphasized that the reason for their trip was fans. RM said, “We didn’t come to Vegas for the GRAMMYs. We came to Vegas for the ARMYs.”
Taking it all the way back to the reason why BTS began, RM talked about how precious fans are to them. He also reminded everyone to spread positivity and not let negativity bring them down.
The record, the title, the accomplishments, the tropies. They’re real important, but that wasn’t the first thing—the first reason—why we started it all. All these things, right?
These two hours: communion, energy, eye to eye, singing along, dancing together, this communication. This is everything. This is why we’re doing this, right?
I hope you know it. I love you, and let the haters hate. And let the lovers love. I love you so much.
— RM
Watch RM remind everyone that BTS has worked hard for so long and achieved success solely for fans and themselves.
