BTS Suga’s Alleged Past “Conflicts With Neighbors” Raise Questions From Korean Netizens

Suga’s recent move has sparked confusion.

Biz Hankook reported that the property Suga lived in for the three years before the move was located in Hannam Riverhill. The property was said to have been purchased by Suga in November 2018 for ₩3.40 billion KRW (about $2.43 million USD). However, he moved out in November 2021 after alleged conflicts with other residents.

After moving out from Hannam Riverhill, Suga moved to the Park Hannam residence on a long-term lease arrangement and moved out in May 2024. According to Biz Hankook the ₩9.50 billion KRW (about $6.80 million USD) deposit was entirely covered by BIGHIT MUSIC, BTS’ label.

  • “What kind of conflict is it?”
  • “A conflict with the residents…”
  • “It’s scary… to think that someone so famous had ‘conflicts’ but none of us knew about it until now.”
  • “I’m not interested in how much the lease was, I want to know what the conflict was.”
  • “I don’t care anymore. Let him go wherever he wants.”

The BTS star reportedly lived at the Park Hannam property until May of this year before moving to Nine One Hannam, another upscale residential complex. Biz Hankook has now indicated that Kyungdong Navien Group founder Choi Jin Min and his wife Kim Mi Hye are set to purchase the property for 17 billion won.
