BTS’s Suga Facing Investigation By Korea’s Military Amid Fallout From DUI Scandal
Korea’s Military Manpower Administration will be launching an investigation into BTS Suga‘s time as a social worker.
On August 23, Chosun Ilbo reported that the Military Manpower Administration, Korea’s military governance office, would launch an investigation into the idol’s time as a social worker. Currently, Suga is fulfilling his military obligations as a social worker rather than an active soldier.
According to the report, the office will be investigating whether Suga received any preferential treatment while working as a social worker, as well as, whether there had been any violations. Previously, a civic group publicly demanded that Suga be investigated amid his ongoing DUI scandal.
We demand that Suga be investigated for his work as a social worker and that there be strict punishment in the case that the investigation finds any infractions. Suga drove while under the influence despite the fact that he has a responsibilty to serve as a social worker. It is hard not to believe that Suga could not fulfill his responsibility after drinking and that there wasn’t any preferrential treatment.
