BTS’s Suga Opens Up About The “Unexpected Side” Of Himself He Discovered
In the latest episode of his series Suchwita, BTS‘s Suga met with actress Lee Na Young and the two had a very honest discussion about their careers and experiences.
At one point, Suga admitted that times seem to be changing as fans of celebrities often prefer to see their authentic selves.
And how his recent variety show appearances, including Suchwita, are earning him praise from his friends for showing his “true side.”
Speaking of his “true side,” Suga admits that he recently discovered an “unexpected side” of himself. Although he’s often given off a “calm,” “strong” impression, when he worked on D-DAY, Suga expressed a raw vulnerability as he shared his thoughts and experiences with the world. This artistic journey led to Suga discovering a “softer” side of himself than he’d previously recognized.
And it’s not just fans or himself that have always viewed Suga as strong, even his family had the same impression.
So his mother and father expressed concern for him as he worked on D-DAY since he seemed to be struggling.
Suda admits that he feels “very weak.”
But Na Young quickly spoke up, clarifying that the sort of “sensitivity” Suga faced, along with “the pain of creation,” doesn’t speak to weakness.
As everyone is weak in their own way.
And Suga also shared that he’s a soft person, like his “love [of] cute things.”
After watching the episode, fans praised Na Young’s response to Suga, explaining that Suga’s sensitivity actually makes him incredibly strong.
yoongi saying he cried alot while working on this album and called himself weak but the way na young comforted him by saying "its not that you're weak, you were overcoming sensitivity and the pain of creation. everyone is weak" 😭 GOD I LOVE NA YOUNG SO MUCH pic.twitter.com/V1vsmPhT86
