Both BigHit Music’s initial statement and Suga’s first apology refer to Suga’s electric scooter as an electric kickboard. Yongsan Police Station clarified that Suga was driving an electric scooter with a seat. BigHit Music has apologized for and corrected details in their first statement. Suga has released a second apology. The police investigation into Suga’s drunk driving incident has now ended. Chosun Ilbo has reported that the Military Manpower Administration, Korea’s military governance office, would launch an investigation into Suga’s time as a social worker.
BTS Suga‘s military service has become a focus amid his DUI scandal.
On August 7, Korea’s Office of Military Manpower Administration stated that BTS’s Suga would not face additional consequences for his actions.
He is not subject to punishment for damaging the military’s image due to the fact that the incident occurred outside of his working hours.

Previously, Suga was charged with driving under the influence for riding a seated electric scooter while drunk.
The controversy has since grown to a full-blown scandal after it was revealed that Suga had driven a seated scooter instead of a kickboard as originally claimed by HYBE.
