On July 19 (KST), netizens couldn’t hide their excitement when it was announced that BTS’s V was the newest ambassador for Cartier‘s Panthere.

V even posted a fan edit after the announcement with his own reaction.

According to Arnaud Carrez, who is the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Cartier, it almost seemed impossible to choose anyone except V because of the need to embody the “magnetism” and “aura” of Panthere. He added that V had the look, character, style, and elegance that was unique to him.

One member of staff even teased that something big was going to happen soon…

Well, it seems like all the staff couldn’t hide their excitement after the announcement, and it was even revealed just how much Cartier wanted to work with the idol as posts were shared on Instagram.

While one Cartier’s PR team member couldn’t hide their excitement with a post saying, “FINALLY!”

Another person who works for the company showcased just how in-demand V is as they explained the hard work and graft that went into getting the idol onboard with Cartier. In particular, along with also writing “Finally,” the post explained how much Cartier wanted V and the work that happened.

Yet, although it must’ve taken a long time and a lot of effort to get V on board due to different reasons, the impact has already been seen. In the photos shared by the brand and V, the idol was wearing a beautiful necklace with the iconic Panthere pendant style.

Despite it costing over a whopping $26,000 USD, it was sold out within minutes of V being announced as the ambassador.

Of course, only those who could access the site would know it was sold out, as the announcement about V also led to the Cartier website crashing.
