Not all heroes wear capes; some wear false beards!
After taking a hiatus, BTS‘s variety show Run BTS! is back and better than ever. In Episode 145, the members travel to the Joseon Dynasty to find the mysterious ARMY headstone and suss out spies. If they fail to find the artifact’s missing piece, they will be transported to another place and time.
Throughout the episode, V took his role very seriously…even if no one else did.
As always, everyone was a suspect and no one could be trusted, but this honorable warrior was still willing to sacrifice himself for a friend. When the director (aka the “royal army”) ambushed V and “painter” Jungkook, they fled. Jungkook managed to evade capture, thanks to V, but they weren’t safe yet.
V valiantly volunteered to take on a solo mission (with penalty) to save Jungkook. “I will do it. So, go and run away!” V urged. “Run away, now! Hurry up now, run away. Trust me. Run away.”
Did our noble hero survive?
Of course, he did! The mission (building a stone pagoda) was no match for him. After claiming his victory, V made a grand exit like a K-Drama hero — and the staff couldn’t help laughing!
After all, V wasn’t playing a warrior; he was a warrior!
