How BTS’s V Landed His Role In IU’s “Love Wins All” Music Video
IU released her latest single, “Love Wins All,” on January 24, 2024, and together with BTS‘s V, the two starred in a cinematic and emotional music video for the song.
IU recently released a behind-the-scenes video from the set of her “Love Wins All” music video, opening up about the filming process and the reason she chose BTS’s V as her co-star.
IU revealed that she and director Um Tae Hwa, who has directed films like Concrete Utopia and Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned, were discussing who to cast for the male lead when they decided that he needed to “possess the mood of a young boy,” but still be “very cool and reliable.”
While considering who might fit that description, IU coincidentally needed to contact V for something unrelated and decided to send him her new song at the same time.
V immediately loved it and “happily decided” to star in the music video for “Love Wins All” with her.
IU noted how fateful V’s casting was, saying, “Isn’t it such a special, symbolic casting?”
IU and V’s on-screen chemistry left netizens swooning, proving he was the best choice for the job!
