BTS V’s Controversial McDonald’s Post Massively Divides ARMYs
BTS‘s V recently sparked significant controversy within the ARMY fandom (and beyond) after sharing a series of old photos on Instagram, one of which featured a bag of McDonald’s fries.
While BTS’s connection with McDonald’s isn’t new, the brand now carries weighty implications due to its association with the BDS movement. This movement targets companies linked to Israel following the nation’s military attacks and genocide in Gaza.
The backlash against McDonald’s intensified after it began donating free meals to the Israeli army.
BTS’s V Posts McDonald’s On Instagram, Leaving Many ARMYs Gutted
A segment of the BTS ARMY has since been vocal in urging BTS’s label, HYBE, to distance itself from any affiliations with Zionism. V’s recent Instagram post has thus sparked a significant divide among fans.

A massive portion of the fandom condemned V for sharing the photo — regardless of when it was taken — calling him out for being insensitive.

Many fans have criticized him for what they perceive as a lack of awareness, stating that he deserves the backlash he is receiving and calling him “tone deaf.”
what level of tone deaf you are on to post this brand after almost 1 year of genocide kim taehyung?? Speechless pic.twitter.com/JtC5PkpF0S

However, another (albeit smaller) segment of ARMYs has come to V’s defense, trending supportive hashtags on social media.

They argue that the harsh criticism and name-calling directed at him are unwarranted and excessive.
Fck you b!tch acting like taehyung is not getting slandered by everyone right now and the worst part is that armys are leading them, keep taehyung and yunjin names out your fckin mouth if you don't have anything good to say . https://t.co/XHRWZg4pkn

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how HYBE and BTS will navigate the divide. Will they address the massive controversy, or will V delete the controversial post? Let us know what you think in the comment section of our social media post.
