BTS’s V Channels His Inner Super Villain When Creating His Free Fire Character
When it comes to BTS‘s V, although he becomes an entirely different person on stage, ARMYs know him to be one of the sweetest and kindest people in K-Pop. If they were to make a superhero film about V’s life, he would definitely be the main protagonist who goes out and saves peoples’ lives.
Well, it seems like V has been using the group’s collaboration with Free Fire to release his inner supervillain.
It was recently announced that Garena Free Fire (also known as Free Fire) announced a collaboration with BTS! To celebrate that, the members have appeared in videos with the game. On March 23, the company released videos with all the members. The first one showed the group picking and customizing characters from the game.
When it came to V, he picked Alvaro, a scary and intimidating character who is a demolitionist…
After showcasing his pick, V then explained why he’d chosen Alvaro. From the very beginning, he shared that it was this aura the character had that made him choose.
This character looks like a villain. I like villains because they are way better than main characters, so I picked a villain character.

When it came to designing their own character, V continued with this path, creating something that Jimin thought mimicked the Joker. With its green and red palette, it was hard not to see the resemblance between V’s design and one of the most iconic villains in the superhero world.
There is no doubt that V’s character is badass and definitely someone you wouldn’t want to mess with.
Yet, when the videos were released, netizens couldn’t help but notice that V seems to have a love for supervillains. In an interview in 2021, the idol was asked, “If you become the main character of a movie, which movie do you want it to be?”
While many would choose the leading man, V was a bit different and shared his love for the villains in films.
My favorite character is a noir-like villain. I’m more attracted to the villain roles. The main characters are very attractive, but I think there are some movies where the villains are more attractive, like Heath Ledger in Joker.

Considering the number of times V has dressed up as a villain-type character and showcased a completely different side to himself, netizens wouldn’t mind seeing V in that kind of role.
He even posted a video on Weverse, captioned “Somewhat a villain,” compared to one about being a hero, and he fitted perfectly into the concept.
We’ve seen V play the hero when he was in Hwarang, but it seems almost inevitable that he will live out his dream to play the villain one day. Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later.
