BTS Got Nervous Performing On Music Broadcasts For “Yet To Come,” But The Reason Why Shows Their Priority As Artists
When BTS released their anthology album, PROOF, they shared meaningful memories with fans by attending music broadcasts for the first time in over two years. Fans loved every moment, from the beautiful songs to the endearing gifts that BTS prepared for everyone who attended.
While there was no question that BTS would give incredible performances, a recent behind-the-scenes video shows that, despite their immeasurable talent and all the incredible performances BTS has done, the members still got nervous performing their songs for fans.
J-Hope explains that the nervousness is because it’s been so long since they performed at a music show.
It’s been a while. It’s been so long since we’ve last been on a music show. It feels very new! I hear it’s been two years and a half. But, well, I don’t think much has changed.
— J-Hope
After their first performance on Music Bank, RM even admits that he sweated a lot, despite not dancing on stage.
Do you see this? My sweat. I’m just singing but I’m sweating. I got so nervous. I sweated buckets.
— RM
And J-Hope even jokes that he would feel more comfortable if he was dancing on stage.
Singing makes me more nervous. I would much rather dance.
— J-Hope
And RM also shares that he’s nervous about the singing focus of their stages.
We’re doing “Yet To Come” and “For Youth,” but I’m worried about the live. I should’ve just rapped. Why did I go overboard and sing?
I’m nervous, since I have to do well. I’m just going to do my best.
— RM
But, of course, BTS are only really worried about the live performances because they wanted to put on the best performances possible for their fans who had been waiting a long time.
It’s been a while since staying up at this time and been a while since doing a recording. I think the fans are looking forward to it as well so I’ll try my best during the recording.
— Suga
They always give their all, even when deciding on the best formations, to make the stage as entertaining as possible for fans.
And even in between performances, BTS spent time with the fans who came to support them.
Although BTS are global stars with fans all around the world, they consistently prove how much all of their fans mean to them.
