BTS’s Suga Reveals Why Agust D’s “D-2” Took 4 Years To Complete
Why did D-2 drop in 2020, and when can the world expect to hear D-3? BTS‘s Suga revealed this and more in a new interview.
On May 22, BTS‘s Suga returned as Agust D with his second mixtape, D-2. His first mixtape, AGUST D, was released on August 15, 2016. For four long years, fans pined for Suga’s solo comeback, and it was definitely worth the wait!
When asked about the release date, Suga said that D-2 was supposed to come out earlier, but it was pushed back for higher priority projects.
Suga also took his time with the mixtape, wanting to “fill it to the brim”.
He compares his mixtapes to letters written by and to himself. Agust D 2016 and Agust D 2020 represent Suga at different times in his life, and the same will be true for D-3. When will D-3 happen? It could be tomorrow or ten years from now. Suga says that when the time is right, Agust D will return again.
