Byeon Woo Seok’s Security Team Argues They Did Not Inspect Passports
The security company involved in Byeon Woo Seok’s airport scandal confirmed that they cooperated with Incheon International Airport and stated they would clarify this during the police investigation.
On July 24, media outlet OSEN interviewed the security company CEO through a phone call about the situation.
“The allegations that we checked airline tickets, passports, and IDs of airport passengers without permission from the airport are entirely false. We will confidently reveal this during the police summons and investigation.
We constantly communicated with airport security through phone calls and messages while guarding Byeon Woo Seok at the airport. The airport security personnel worked with our team during the controversial lounge incident.”

They also shared that they only verbally confirmed with passengers and did not look inspect anything.
The allegations that we checked the airport passenger’s tickets, passports, and IDs are false. I’ve mentioned it many times, but because so many people followed Byeon, and there was a risk of an accident by the escalator leading up to the lounge, we only verbally confirmed whether they were following him or going to the lounge.

They also apologized once again about using flashlights.
“Of course, using the flashlight was wrong, and I have apologized for this before. It’s not our guideline or regulation, and we have given the security staff a warning to prevent this from happening again. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience everyone was caused. We are genuinely sorry about this.
We are just frustrated that the media has skewed and reported rumors about checking passports and IDs. Everything can be checked by CCTV, so we have no reason to lie. Instead, I’m curious why the airport said we had no contact with them. I think there have been some problems with communication between the staff and the airport.”

They emphasized that they will reveal everything once they are summoned by the police for investigation.
