Celebrities Step Up With Generous Donations As South Korea Faces Severe Wildfire Crisis

As South Korea grapples with devastating wildfires that have already scorched over 36,300 acres of land, several stars from the entertainment industry have stepped forward to offer their support through generous donations.

As of Tuesday, over 3,700 firefighters, aided by 76 helicopters and 530 vehicles, were working to control the fires, with areas like Uiseong and Andong nearly 70% contained.

Singer Lee Chan Won has donated 100 million KRW to aid victims in the Yeongnam region, which has been hit particularly hard by the fires. His agency revealed that Lee, whose hometown of Ulsan was also affected, felt a strong personal connection to the cause and expressed his hopes for a swift recovery for those impacted by the disaster.
Yoo Jae Suk
Comedian Yoo Jae Suk, known for his philanthropic nature, has contributed 50 million KRW to help ease the burden on affected residents. Yoo showed his desire to offer some relief to the victims and wished for a quick return to normal life for everyone struggling in the aftermath of the fires.

Actor Im Si Wan has donated 30 million KRW, sharing his hope that his contribution would provide some comfort to those facing hardship. Im’s act of kindness aims to support the community as they recover from the crisis.
WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo
WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo made a contribution of 10 million KRW to support the victims of the ongoing wildfires in South Korea.
Lee Seung Yoon
Similarly, broadcaster Lee Seung Yoon has also donated 10 million KRW to assist in the recovery efforts from the wildfires.
