Directed by Kim Dae Woong, the story unfolds a unique romance blended with comedic elements that keep the audience hooked. The plot centers around Han Hae Na, portrayed by Park Gyu Young, a high school Korean language teacher cursed to morph into a dog whenever she shares a kiss. The only solution to this curse is a kiss from a man who, due to childhood trauma, harbors a fear of dogs.

This character, Jin Seo Won, is brought to life by the heartthrob Cha Eunwoo, known for his prior romantic comedy roles. The tension intensifies as Han mistakenly confesses her feelings to another teacher, Lee Bo Gyeom (played by Lee Hyun Woo), under the influence of alcohol and ends up kissing Jin, triggering her transformation.

Cha Eunwoo’s return to the romantic comedy genre has indeed been a refreshing delight for K-Drama fans and one of the most exciting things about this new series. His portrayal of a professor battling his fears, coupled with a unique, humorous narrative, makes A Good Day to Be a Dog a must-watch this month.

The first two episodes set the stage for an intriguing narrative, as Han strategizes to reverse the curse within 100 days by planning to get Jin drunk again for a kiss, only to discover his deep-rooted cynophobia. The comedic efforts of Han to overcome Jin’s fear while navigating her own transformations, alongside the love triangle that ensues, form the crux of the storyline.
