Choi Byungchan Announces He Will Drop Out Of Produce X 101 Due To Injury
Choi Byungchan, a popular choice to debut with the Produce X 101 winning group, has revealed that he will be dropping out of the show due to a chronic injury that has caused him even more pain in the recent months.
His agency, Plan M Entertainment (formerly Plan A Entertainment) released a statement confirming the sad news.
Hello, this is Play M Entertainment.
Choi Byungchan, who is appearing on Mnet’s Produce X 101, will be dropping out from the show due to health issues.
Choi Byungchan has been suffering from chronic Achilles tendinitis and the pain has intensified recently. He has been participating in Produce X 101 practice and competition, and was receiving treatment at the same time. But it is too difficult to continue on the program.
We sat together for an in-depth discussion about this, and decided to have Choi Byungchan drop out of the show. He will not be able to join his SIXC members on the M! Countdown stage this week.
We are sorry to announce his departure from the show to his fans who have given him so much love and support, and we are also sorry to the program’s producers, the fellow trainees, and the viewers.
We will provide the necessary support to help Choi Byungchan focus on treatment and sufficient rest for the time being, so he can recover his health.
Once again, we would like to apologize to everyone for bringing these sad news. Thank you.
