Daughter Of Legendary Actress Exposes Damning Text Messages Pointing To Grandmother’s Abuse
Choi Jun Hee, the daughter of the late actress Choi Jin Sil, revealed text messages supporting her allegations claiming she was abused at the hands of her grandmother.
On July 11, Choi Jun Hee uploaded an Instagram post explaining why she reported her grandmother to police.
Daughter Of Legendary Actress Reports Her Grandmother To Police
Earlier, it was reported that the influencer had called the police after she found her grandmother in a home that she and her brother owned.
Choi Jun Hee starts off her statement by revealing that when she was a minor, she was abused at the hands of her grandmother. This isn’t the first time Choi Jun Hee made abuse allegations, who previously reported her grandmother’s abuse.
First, I would like to thank you for all of your criticisms and concerns. Because the incident wasn’t reported truthfully, I needed time to gather my thoughts.
When I was a minor, my grandmother constantly cursed at me and physically abused me. I still haven’t gotten over those scars. Although my grandmother remembers me as a child who didn’t listen, whenever we would get into an argument, she would tell me that my birth was a mistake and cursed at me using words I can’t repeat. I lived with a guardian who stood on a pile of lies.
When I was suffering from Lupus, my grandmother cursed at me and abused me. Due to the pain, I kicked her off me, and my grandmother called the police, which led me to being investigated at a young age. Despite revealing the truth, the adults didn’t listen to me.

Choi Jun Hee then addresses the most recent incident, revealing that she had to protect her property because so much was taken from her. The influencer also reveals that her grandmother favored her brother because he was a son — a tragedy that was all too common in Korean families in the past and present.
After that incident, because she was my legal guardian, I became known as someone who assaulted her grandmother, and I was silenced. Now, 5 years have passed, and I have become an adult.
Although it isn’t my brother’s fault, it is extremely hard to live with parents who favor the son (in the family). During that time, many things were taken from me, and now that I have become an adult, I have to protect my property. I don’t know what it feels like to be loved by your family. All I know is that I have endured a lot, and so I did what I needed to do. Even if you criticize me, I am writing this knowing I have to protect myself. I don’t want to place blame or make you choose sides. I would merely like to correct what is wrong.

Choi Jun Hee then writes about her mother’s legacy and how it has affected her and her grandmother differently.
People pay attention to me because of my mother’s title, and because of it, I received a lot of love and criticism. But my grandmother used my mother’s title to threaten and abuse people, and I can no longer take it anymore. Everybody around her says, Who would have thought Choi Jin Sil’s mother would be like this?

The influencer then writes how she is no longer the impressionable child her grandmother had abused and vowed to take legal action.
I also find people’s need to try and justify (the abuse) in a beautiful and easy way absurd. I am no longer a fifteen-year-old and am now an adult. I am no longer the Middle Schooler that talked back to her grandmother. Before I am Choi Jin Sil’s daughter, I am a person living in Korea and will hold my grandmother legally accountable for all of the things she did when I was a minor.
I am not scared of people’s criticism. I am only chilled by my grandmother’s many faces.

Along with her statement, Choi Jun Hee uploaded two text messages from her grandmother sent to her brother. In the messages, the grandmother tells her grandson (Choi Jun Hee’s brother) to testify to police in a way favorable to her. Notably, one of the messages is dated 2017, when Choi Jin Sil alleged to police that her grandmother had abused her.
Hwan Hee (Choi Jun Hee’s brother), if the police call, tell him that something like that never happened. If you say something wrong, I can (be in trouble). You have to tell the police that I treated Jun Hee well. Don’t hesitate when you talk to them.

Hwan Hee, if Jun Hee asks about me, say you don’t know.
