Clara reveals she lost KakaoTalk messages after dropping phone in water
On a recent airing of SBS’ Midnight TV Entertainment, a segment discussed the current conflict between model and actress Clara Lee and her agency Polaris Entertainment.
On January 21st, Clara’s lawyers stated that while there are more text messages that implied sexual harassment, however, they are currently unrecoverable. “The messages between May and June have been lost. The cell phone was dropped in water, and the messages are unable to be recovered through the KakaoTalk servers.”
Clara is currently in a legal battle against Polaris, having filed a lawsuit to nullify her exclusive contract in December 2014, citing sexual harassment by its CEO. In addition, Polaris has also been reported to have filed a lawsuit against her as well. Following initial reports, text messages via KakaoTalk between Clara and CEO Lee has been released through Dispatch (1 and 2) and YTN, further giving readers insight into the alleged sexual harassment. Subsequently, Clara personally wrote to her fans on giving her a chance to speak her side via her Facebook page.
