Coachella May Be Postponed To October, BIGBANG’s Return May Also Be Delayed

It may be postponed or canceled.

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival (aka Coachella) is scheduled to take place in the weekends of April 10 and 19, but the event may be postponed due to the increase coronavirus outbreak in the US.

Coachella is held at Indio, California, located within the Riverside County, where three cases of the coronavirus were confirmed on Monday. The event brings in over 250,000 fans from all over the world over the two weekends, with vendors and artists coming to perform.

As concertgoers and sponsors are talking of cancelling or pulling out from the show, Coachella is reportedly thinking of postponing the event to October instead. It’s not a done deal, but high level sources claim that the decision should be confirmed within the next 48 hours.

They are reportedly trying to postpone it to the weekends on October 9 and 16, but if the move isn’t possible, the whole event may be canceled.

Among the start-studded names that are confirmed to perform, BIGBANG was among the lineup as it would have been their first public performance as a group since the members first began enlisting back in 2017. It will also be BIGBANG’s first performance since Seungri left the group due to his scandals.

With the news of Coachella probably being postponed to October or being canceled, many are wondering if that also means BIGBANG’s return will also be delayed. YG Entertainment has yet to respond to Coachella’s news.
