Coldplay Sings BTS Jin's "The Astronaut" During Bangkok Concert

Coldplay are currently on their 2023-2024 Music of the Spheres World Tour.

During Coldplay’s tour, the group, especially leader Chris Martin, has been showing love to BTS. Previously, the two bands collaborated on the song “My Universe.”

During Coldplay’s recent show in Bangkok, Thailand, Chris surprised the crowd by singing Jin’s “The Astronaut” as an outro for their hit song “Fix You.” Chris and his son collaborated with Jin to release “The Astronaut” as a gift to ARMYs before the BTS member’s enlistment. Fans were so excited to hear Chris sing the song during the concert.

According to a fan, “The Astronaut” was not originally on the setlist. So, it was a total surprise to concert-goers!

Coldplay also frequently features the Jin-created astronaut character, Wootteo, during performances. Chris wears a Wootteo button or patch on his jacket, and the band has a plushie on stage.

Before Jin enlisted, he was a featured guest during one of Coldplay’s Argentina shows. There, he performed “The Astronaut” for the first time, along with Chris.
